Hi Everyone, this afternoon was spent making Valentines and preparing for my monthly Cox Landing Library Stamp Group.
The traditional Valentine colors are in the red tones or pink, so I thought I would leap out of the box and go for blue. This card will go to my one year old great-granddaughter nearer to Valentine Day.
I used the "Hedgehog" stamp that is new in the Occasional Mini Catalog. The green is a strip of designer series paper from the Sweet Soiree paper. The hearts are punched out of the red glimmer paper. The cute little hedgehogs are stamped with Early Expresso ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and fancy cut.
I love the doilies that are now in the catalog. I cut one in half and punched out a Whisper White circle and cut that in half to stamp the words, "adorable you". Genna Bell is adorable, so this card is made for her! Inside is stamped with Happy Birthday and has more glitter hearts.
For a change, I just wanted a change of traditional colors for a special little girl's Valentine. Of course it will have to have some money in it since she can't have candy.
You still have time to order your stamps and materials to make a few Valentines for your loved ones. Just go to "shop now" and place you order. A hand made card is a gift from the heart.
